By formality an I am a part time aquatic biologist and full time nomad. Although my roots are anchored in California, I am a bit of free range human, enriching my soul with culture and experience. I am advocate of adventure and a lover of the outdoors. My most current endeavor is marine mammal training in Bermuda, until I embark on to the next journey.

Julia is an Environmental Studies & journalism student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as an ocean lifeguard, surfer, & diver. You can usually find her frolicking in the ocean and finding excuses to play outside.

Sierra Cruse Emrick

Sierra is a Environmental Studies major (latin American studies minor) student at UC Santa Barbara who wants to help third world countries substitute the environmentally degrading processes, often associated with country development, with sustainable alternatives that boost economy, Gross National Happiness (GNH) and protect natural places that provide eco system services and joy to all. The goal of Sierra's work is to provide the public with the knowledge and information they need to take action against social/environment injustice, global inequality and over consumption. Sierra gets her greatest joy from the ocean. As an avid surfer born in Morro Bay, California is motivated to combat climate change by her hopes that future generations will get to experience the ocean.
